Thessaloniki Concert Hall

The Concert Hall is ready to fulfil its double purpose. Firstly it is ideal for housing music, opera, and ballet performances, and secondly it is a Convention and Congress center, with facilities that can host meetings and large international conventions, cultural and scientific events as well as expositions in the foyers. These are events that will strengthen the City of Thessaloniki in the area of conventional tourism. The management’s objective is the Concert Hall of Thessaloniki to become the vehicle that will bring the city closer to the Balkans and south eastern Europe, establishing it as the meeting point for all the culturally creative people, thus creating events of the highest quality.

The main hall

The main hall was not only designed to house music, ballet and opera performances but also the most demanding conventions and congresses. For this reason, acoustics and visibility studies were carried out by specialists. The Hall is equipped with up to date air conditioning system and facilities of simultaneous translation. Furthermore, special attention was given to ensure easy accessibility to handicapped visitors.

Central foyer

The forms, materials, colors, texture and use of sunlight led to the creation of a unique space with a spectacular view to the city and its harbor. The central foyer is ideal for press conferences, lectures, cocktail parties or even business dinners. The natural light disperses from the Byzantine cupola to both central and upper foyer, while the design ensures visual contact between the two.


Upper foyer

The upper foyer preserves the architectural design of the central foyer, thus becoming its natural continuation. The balcony over the main entrance enhances the possibilities of organizing varied events.

Meeting Rooms

Four meeting rooms (capacity 40 people), situated on the ground floor can accommodate seminars, committee meetings, and secretariat.





Polis Convention Center

The Polis Convention Centre is a facility that has been specially designed to meet top spec convention needs and can accommodate up to 3,000 people.   
The building with a total surface area of 6,000 m2 is laid out over 4 levels in such a way that all rooms benefit from natural daylight and an amazing view to the city of Thessaloniki, the Thermaic Gulf and mountainous Halkidiki. It is a perfect blend of timeless style coupled with modern technology and state-of-the-art communication, sound and light systems.

ROOMS OF THE TCCI AVAILABLE FOR LEASE

The neo-classical building of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, following a radical refurbishment completed in 2003, has once again opened its gates to the business world and the general public of Thessaloniki.
The building has three rooms available for leasing that can host various events.
These rooms -as well as the entire building- are fitted with central air conditioning, fire detection, security and surveillance closed circuit systems and are guarded by security staff.
In addition, it should be noted that qualified technicians ensure the trouble-free operation of the state-of-the-art audiovisual systems used during the events.


CONFERENCE HALL

On the second floor of the building located at 29 Tsimiski St., there is a finely decorated hall that hosted in the past some very significant events, attended by very important personalities both at national and European level.

After the refurbishment, this hall has already been visited and highly commended by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Stefanopoulos, the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Christodoulos, the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandreia and all Africa Mr. Peter VII, the prime minister of Greece Mr. Kostas Simitis and many Ministers, Ambassadors and other officials.      

The total area of the room is 208 m2 and has 220 seats, in theatric arrangement. The room has a modern microphone - both wired and wireless - installation and a series of audiovisual means that can facilitate the organization of speeches, conferences, lectures, presentations etc. as described below:

MULTIPLE USE HALL

On the same floor (2nd) of the building there is a smaller hall covering an area of 150 m2, which, depending on the arrangement, may take 60-100 seated persons. It is equipped with a microphone - wired and wireless - installation and can host speeches, seminars, art shows, business meetings, press conferences, receptions, etc. This room has the following audiovisual facilities:

Also, it is important to mention that between the two above-mentioned rooms there is a communal area of around 70 m2, the lobby of the 2nd floor, which is available to the organisers of events free of charge. The lobby could host a reception area - secretary office, an area for promoting printed material and for offering coffees, refreshments, snacks etc. to the visitors.

LECTURE ROOM

Finally, on the first floor of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, there is a lecture room covering an area of 50 m2, with 30 seats, that can host conferences, presentations, seminars, press conferences, etc. This area has the following audiovisual facilities:

"Ioannis Vellidis" Congress Centre

"Ioannis Vellidis" Congress Centre is the largest such centre in Greece, with a capacity to host 2,400 people. It is renowned for its functionality and its ability to hold various kinds of events.
"Ioannis Vellidis" has five (5) halls, auxiliary areas and reception areas, all fully equipped. All areas are air conditioned and have modern audiovisual aids, covering interpretation needs for 11 languages.
This congress centre can host three satellite events. It also has a roof garden that can hold receptions for 1,000 people, while its underground parking facilities can provide parking for 430 cars.
“Ioannis Vellidis” operates around the year and hosts the most-attended events in the city, such as major conferences, day meetings, symposia, seminars, speeches, Press conferences, company presentations, concerts of classical and modern music and even theatre performances.

"Nikolaos Germanos" Congress Centre

The second Congress Centre, which is named "Nikolaos Germanos", operates independently at the centre of HELEXPO facilities in Thessaloniki, within a 6,000 m2 building complex.
This congress centre has four (4) halls with a total capacity of 720 people. Modern audiovisual aids, projection machinery, microphones and comfortable interpretation booths for eight (8) languages guarantee the smooth operation of any event.
"Nikolaos Germanos" Centre has areas for receiving congress participants, organisers’ offices, a VIP hall, a Press Centre, a restaurant and an area for hosting receptions.
